The NNHLA project team are pleased to publish a document that outlines the scope of the audit and priority areas identified for quality improvement, which have been developed in consultation with key stakeholders.
The aim of this report is to outline the following aspects of the audit scope:
- Patient inclusion criteria: which patients are to be included in the audit.
- Care pathway coverage: which parts of the care pathway are to be covered by the audit.
- Healthcare improvement goals: what aspects of care have been identified as priority areas for the audit to support quality improvement.
Given that this is the first national audit of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in England and Wales, the scope is expected to evolve over subsequent years.
Following the publication of the NNHLA scope, the next step is to develop ten key performance indicators and map these to the NNHLA healthcare improvement goals. These key performance indicators will be used to support the audit’s objectives and to monitor progress towards its healthcare improvement goals.
